Here are some photo samples taken with a FED-36 100mm/6.3 adapted for a use on Zenit M39. But I'm using it on Sony A7. It's not a coated lens, it was produced in 1938-1941 period. Quite impressive for its age. Contrast and colors adjusted in Camera raw.
Here is its optical design:

Very Nice- I need to keep an eye out for one.
4 elements in two groups- I believe it is similar to the later Minolta 11cm F5.6.

You only have to ask for it!
All photos taken with Zenit Automat.

I received my sample of the FED f:6.3 /100mm. It looks almost like new with clear optics and on even a trace of cleaning marks! Amazing after almost 90 years including the second world war!

The perfomance is amazingly good considering its age and simple construction. Due to the low number of only 4 glass-air sufaces, the contrast is surprisingly high for an uncoated lens!
This is the performance at far distance at f:6.3 and out of cam:

Medium distance, f:6.3, OOC

And closest at 1m, f:6.3. OOC

Stopping down doesn't really improve the image quality. It just increases the depth of field. Below f:9 the iris blades have an adverse impact on the image quality as they are quite shiny and therefore cause additional internal reflections. |
