I had this lens for half a day. It was in transit from one friend to another.
Loved the way it rendered colors and sharpness wide-open that was just right.
Wish it was mine

It's an excellent lens for sure but f2.8 may be a bit restrictive. If one's a Pentax user, I guess FA 31/1.8 ltd is more attractive. It's also similar size from what I remember. |

Maybe, only that the FA 31mm ltd costs an arm and a leg... especially for us poor guys from the third world !!! Moreover, getting new/ current Pentax gear here is impossible. Everything has to be sourced from abroad and a 30% customs duty makes it all the more expensive!! _________________ Arijit |

Yes, the cost of living in the west could be a pressure. I hope things work out well for you at the earliest.

The K30 is one of the lenses on my wishlist... I have a bit of a liking for K series lenses and have about a dozen of them now, some common (like the K55/1., others less so. The K30 and the K200/2.5 are the two I have my eye on. Unfortunately, neither are cheap...
Oh well, one day I'll find one in a charity shop for a fiver...

I'm not sure of that.
Mine came from Japan some years ago, so maybe.
It is a very good lens as you say
