What could be done do with this nice tool?
The disc and 2 half-moons are all metal.

When using 2 half-discs, you can maybe build up a sector-shaped picture field? For special bokeh?

Yeah, probably intended for special effects using multiple exposures. You can have contrasting scenes on the top and bottom or side by side. I'm thinking some interesting effects might can be made with shooting a sunset, placing the horizon just above the middle of the frame, then a contrasting scene for the bottom half of the photo. Just thoughts.
