Hi All,
Is there anyone here with experience of the Leica 60mm f2.8 R lens? I would welcome your guidance. I'm thinking of getting one for using on my Leica SL.

I have it, my copy is from 1973. It is an excellent lens.
Here a close-up from an old 10 guilder bill with the lens mounted on my Fuji X-T1. I used the 1:1 adapter to get this result. Make sure that is included with the lens you purchase, as buying separately can easily cost an extra $100.

I had the 60mm Macro Elmarit back in the 1970s. It's a truly excellent lens that will not disappoint you. It's also the the only "normal" focal length macro lens you can put on your Leicaflex, which makes chosing it really easy! _________________ Stephen

The lens is sharp at all focus distances, perfect lens for walkabout, it's s bokeh is a bit on the busy side.
The 100/2.8 APO Macro is also awesome. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...

I had one converted to use on my Nikon. Was a good lens but I did not notice it better than my Nikon 60. Using it on Leica, I am sure you will be happy with it.
