Can I change a P6 mount Primotar 180/3.5 to M42? Does it has interchangeable mount like Orestor 135/2.8?
Thanks, Brian |

Attila,
Could you check it for me. Otherwise, I have to prepar a P6>M42 adapter.
Besides, is it good enough to keep? |

Difficult to find out, currently I have 64% in my room, I not open my dry boxes in this high hummidity. I have hundreds of lenses and I don't remember where can I find this lens. Sorry!
If you expect sharp lens like best ones, answer is no don't keep it.
If you can make compromise with sharpness should a good lens to keep.
See samples, so many better lenses are available , but this not means this lens not a keeper. If you have one 180mm lens only buy a better one like Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 180mm f2.8. If you have many, take it and discover it. _________________ -------------------------------

Does the 2.8/135 have an alternative P6 mount? As far as I know, the alternative mounts were M42 and Exakta, as they have the same register distance. The P6 distance is much longer. _________________ Peter - Moderator |

As so far I remember , the Orestor 2,8/135 and Orestegor 4/200 - both preset - have the same interchangeable mount in Exakta Bayonet, Praktina breech-lock and Praktica M42 . The Telemegor 4/300 and 5,6/500 have also an interchangeable mount for the 3 preceeding + P6 /Kiev . Not the same mount , however , but same "technology" My copies of Telemegor 5,5/400 and Primotar 3,5/180 are in fixed M42 mounts. It is however possible there is some variations in the fixed / interchangeable mounts characteristics in the Meyer range . In the CZJ range , 2,8/180 and 4/300 sonnar can be found in preset version with interchangeable mounts. |

Brian, you just need a P6/M42 adapter don't you? Or am I missing something? _________________ Peter - Moderator |
