Hey guys, it's 4:00am in the morning Chicago time, on what is to be a beautiful day (according to the weathermen). I'm off to the lake front with my gear once again for some long exposure shots. This time I have my Pentax-M 50mm on my camera and I also packed my Tamron 24mm BBar. Another 15 minutes and I'm out the door. First stop is COFFEE!

Hopefully I'll have some keepers to post from both lenses later in the day.

OK, the clarity was a bit better today but once again I forgot to shut off my camera's shake reduction. I don't consider any of the pics keepers but the process is moving in the right direction. A bit more clarity, composition could be better, I really could have used an anchor in the images of the lighthouse. A lot of open water, it just seems to flatten the image out. So, I'll be headed out again with the shake reduction off and scout for a better vantage point. I'm still using the cheap ND variable. I have the holder and set up for my Cokin, but no ND filters yet.

These were all shot with the Pentax-M 50mm. I didn't load up the Tamron BBar.

Hi Klaus, thanks for taking a peek.

This was the last image. The sun was starting to wash out the sky, without a grad filter I would have lost all definition of the sky, at this point I wrapped it up.
