Very hot and sticky yesterday, and most times I forgot to pull out the damn
hood that comes with the lens! Anyhoo, here's some from the first roll, using
Kodak Gold 200:
Scanned at 2400dpi, no USM, just grain reduction>LR2>PS for resizing,
USM, sharpening. I'll add a few more to this thread and have a second
roll that I'm shooting with the same lens attached.

Seems a nice lens Bill - I like the geometrical composition of the first image too. |

Thanks, Bob, the tunnelway acted as a hood of sorts, which helped.

Composition of the first shot is great, I really like it!
Maddog gives it 2 paws up!
I can't put my finger on it, but the other shots seem to be missing something. They just don't 'pop' (hard to explain). Might be the 200 speed film, I might just be used to seriously saturated colors. Might just be the shadows.
I'll beat you to the punch:
I am not slamming your photos
That bike sure looks like it would be painful to ride. _________________ Michael Hill |

Mike, s'okay, and I know what you mean about the other pics. I reworked
some, deleted two. I'm happiest with the first pic.

That first pic is great, I really like that one. I think the fact that there is no one in the photo makes it stand out even more. I like the second photo as well and find myself wondering what most of the people are looking at. _________________ Michael Hill |

Thanks for your comments, Mike. I messed around with the first one and
converted it to grayscale:

Bill, I haven't had much time lately. I missed this one.
I very much like #1 and 3. I like the grayscale conversion, is that a product of lightroom? _________________ Ron |

Ron, thanks for your comments. I actually did the conversion in PS Elements
4.0, but I believe I could've used LR2 just as well.

Jules, the UC zoom is a sharp one. I was just thinking how nice that first
picture would be if taken at night with the lights on. I'd use the 40/1.8
that came with the Konica TC... |
