I'm going to be picking up at least one and maybe to of these lenses. My understanding is that they are anamorphic lenses and the 16/1.75 refers to a 16mm format and a 1.75 perspective. Is this correct? I'm having a hard time finding any information on the lenses though I see that many digital videographers use similar lenses on their cameras.

yes, indeed it is an anamorphic front lens to be used in front of a projection OR taking lens
as itself it does not produce an image. Streching Factor in one dimension is indeed 1.75x
but be aware this was just for 16mm film projection, hence check for vignetting.
