Firstly, my apologies that this is not a full and in-depth review by any means - in fact it is only one image.
I was recently visiting a part of our state where I used to live, and in passing through stopped for a picture at dusk.
I chose the SMC Pentax 3.5/28 because I had it in my bag and the light was fading fast.
I am blown away by the detail that this lens has recorded and I also like its rendering.
Here is the image

Thanks fellas.
I am sure that the Topcor will be impressive Klaus - like almost every other Topcor
I don't have it so cannot show a comparison but it is known for being excellent.
This little Pentax might be easier to find in the market than the lovely Topcor

I think this lens was more expensive in the 80s than smc 28/2.8.
Many slower 28mm (from different brands) were designed for landscape. |

That is a surprise to me hoanpham, but the results from this lens show that landscape is its forte.
It is certainly a good value purchase these days.

"little" Pentax ?
Are we talking about the M 28 3.5 or about the K ( actually no letter just, Pentax SMC) ? |

Has this lens the same optical configuration as the Asahi Pentax SMC 3.5/28 M42 lens? _________________ "I've got a Nikon camera, I like to take a photograph" - Paul Simon |

Thank you everyone.
Taken on Fujifilm X-E1 with a PK to FX adapter.
Yes, I should have been clearer at the start that it was not the M42 lens.
Cheers

Yes, I agree with this - I have had the M42 version in the past, and while it is good, it is not as good as this lens.
This lens with the PK mount gives much better results.
