Takumar has the best contrast. However, not sure it's the sharpest.
Helios wins with bokeh. |

All good. It's worth mentioning you used the SMC Takumar, and not the Super-Takumar. _________________ pentaxian |

Landscape pics all at f8
The bokeh sample is all wide open
The one with Yoshi all at f2.8
The picture with the direct sunlight is all lenses at their minimum aperture. |

If I'm allowed to give you some feedback:
- Maybe mention the camera used and the aperture settings
- All comparisons at the same aperture for a fair comparison
- Maybe some 100% crops to compare resolving power
- Detailed information on each lens (because of coating differences etc).
- Optionally you could test resolving power across the frame, if you find that important. |

I think this comparison was for video, not photo. Did you watch it? _________________ pentaxian |

Thnx, I'll keep that in mind for future comparisons.
The second pic is by the way a 100% center crop of a 4k video still
The camera used is a Sony A7 III
And all lenses are at the same aperture, only in some cases I tested their 'wide open to fully stopped down' capability. |

Well done imho! I like the video presentation. That is a lot of work! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, "Takumar" has SMC coatings -- the distinction is important imho.
The Tessar doesn't open to f/1.8 or f/2.0, only close.
My internet connection (smartphone tether) is slow to load the full-size images :
Maybe show here 1080p reduced size images; include link to full size images.
Maybe show here only corner and center crop; include link to full size images. _________________ ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮ like attracts like! ☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮☮
