I took someones advice and got the E-mount helical m42 adapter and was looking for a native m42 to try it on (I had already used it on a series of DKL lenses via adapter to adapter) Grabbed this gem from the shelf. I took it out once shortly after I got it and said "Oh I really must use this again" but time slips by...... and finally here we go some time later. Some were close ups using the adapter as close close up helical others at a hot spring resort and garden:

Pretty good lens isn't it ?
I have one I have been cleaning. Got it all good, shot a bunch, then it developed a haze, cleaned it again, haze again.
I will give it another go with detergents, I suspect oil. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |

The only other MF 24 I have is the Konica which is also very good. I really like both of them. My main standard range zoom lens is the stellar Zeiss Sonnar 24-70 2.8 but it is a weapons grade weight on the end of the a7ii! _________________ photos are moments frozen in time |

Looks quite good, I have the older Super Takumar, oddly I haven't gotten around to trying it on my A7r yet.
Luisalegria, if the elements stay clean for an extended period, then becomes hazy, a clean and relube might cure the issue, does the lens smell of petroleum? The grease could be "off gassing" and would continue to haze up till the offending grease is removed. _________________ A Manual Focus Junky...

I suspect this is indeed the case. _________________ I like Pentax DSLR's, Exaktas, M42 bodies of all kinds, strange and cheap Japanese lenses, and am dabbling in medium format/Speed Graphic work. |
