Hi guys,

found this lens on ebay with M42 mount and though about if it is worth spending some € on it?

There is still no bet, it is at 1,99€ and 11hours to go! I can't find anything on this lens and can't find any good/bad review about travenar at all!

Does anyone of you know this lens and can tell me if it's nice or not worth looking at?

thanks,

Karhallarn

Have you a pic of the lens ?
They were 2x main 35-105 /3.5 : the tokina made (sold tokina, soligor tm ...) and the makina made (sold under makinon , hanimex tm..)

This is not the 35-105 but the 37-105 (not so wide angled)

1- soligor sold the same
http://www.photosig.com/go/photos/browse;jsessionid=aPSxU88GMeye4K8nmh?id=17643

2- Big and heavy ..

You better look for a 35-105 tokina made (soligor...) same size and weight but better wide angel
or a 28/85 tokina atx (smaller and better range)
or a 28/80 makinon (better range)
or a 39/80 sigma (maller)
or any tamron adaptall with m42 adapter ie 35-105 , 28/80 / 28-105 / 28-200 , 35/135 / 35/200 ... much more modern and lighter (ps : i sell my 28-200)

Looks like I will get it for 1,99€, so I will just try it!

Big and heavy fits to my D1x, which makes it a good feature to me!

How about the Optics?

The tokina made 35-105 was correct (not great) in quality

No idea for the 37-105 (is it the same lens or a different lens , does soemone knows ?)
