I just picked these three up and I was wondering

a) if anyone knows anything about them

and

b) how would I go about adapting them? I've tried a makeshift setup with one of them using tape, my Asahi Pentax microscope adapter, and my bellows, but I can't seem to get a usable image from them.

The objectives in question:

I remember to have seen threads on adapting microscope lenses... most are old and no more with pictures, however you can find some info:

For K-3 need PK adapter + microscope tube 120mm long iirc, check ebay.

DOF is extremely thin -- if you've ever focused a microscope before...not quite that thin without objective multiplier, but stacking may be necessary for usable image if subject is not very flat...focusing is easier with bellows than tripod. Laughing

I have the PZO 100/1.3 objective. Forget this lens for photographic use. It is a very specialized lens (focal length of only 1.6mm!) that needs oil between the front lens and the microscope slide. It is not for 3D specimens. For photographic use, do not go beyond 10X objectives.

There are two types of microscope objectives that need to be mounted in different ways
see: http://extreme-macro.co.uk/microscope-objectives/ for far more than I could tell you.

This is the forum I go to for my macro/micro information: http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/
I ended up getting a JML 21/3.5 that does really well for stacking, something I'm slowly acquiring bits for, anyway, DOF is less than a mm-1/16"

Not microscope lenses but I have adapted small lenses with a plastic body cap. Drill the appropriate size hole and you can work threads with one of your lenses. It fits perfect on my bellows.

Here is part of my microscope objectives collection. I had a good source of these about 10 years ago at very good prices.
But I haven't seriously used them yet.

The best way is not to adapt the lenses, it's to adapt the camera!

Oh wow, this certainly blew up. In the meantime, I discovered that at least 2 of the 3 objectives I have are oil immersion ones (the PZO and the one that says "oel" on it). The third one, however, doesn't make mention of oil at all so I'm hopeful for it.
