yes, but with this lens a hood is a must, very flare prone...

Soligor can be anything, do you have pictures of the lens?
The C/D lenses were pretty nice, some of them even with AF

it is C/D lens, here are the photos of it i found on the net (mine is in OM mount)

Nice results. That's one I haven't bought yet . Sun made them from the late 1970's thru the mid 80's.

Is this the same lens?
The difference is exponentially better.
I have friends with OM-D E-M5 and they rave about it.
I am totally gob-smacked with your results here.

There is no comparison between the results from each camera.
I am utterly amazed at the resolution from the OM-D with this same lens.

Just a question: if the 28-80/3.5-4.5 is doing quite well here, how would possibly the 28-50/3.5-4.5? I'd guess, not great for sure, but hey...as being a 2x Zoom only...it must be good somehow?

Soligor can be something of a lottery, a lot depends on the actual manufacturer of the lens. I've got 12 various Soligors - 2 are outstanding, 8 are good to OK, and 2 are rubbish. I guess the odds are slightly in favour of getting a decent lens.

Allied Impex (Soligor) rebranded lenses from every third party maker in Japan, often several makers at once, over a period of thirty years.
So its an incredible zoo under the Soligor label.

I know, and because of that, like Vivitar did into the same time period, it's hard to find a gem...for sure. One must also see the Pics here with the 28-80 under special circumstances, because it's a FF (full-frame) lens, and mFT is even much smaller than a typical APS-C Sensor, so that OM-D get's only the best from this lens - the smallest, possible Image Circle....otherwise on FF, say 5D, or A7 Series, i'd think the corners are pretty weak for that lens...
