Came across this gem in the enlarger lens section on ebay. Came in the post yesterday. It looks as if it came from the factory last week. Absolutely the best preserved vintage lens I have ever encountered. Including the case. Aperture and focus function like they came from the factory as well. Here is a shot of it mounted on the a7rii, via next-m42 close, m42 helicoid spacer 12-19. It hits infinity other way out after just a short distance focuses down to about 18 inches. :

The lighter gives scale. The thing is really tiny.

I hope to load some shots soon.

Staeble lenses from certain eras are particularly beautifully made, the Paxette mount 135/3.8 is proof of that, not to mention the lenses offered by Braun/Staeble for their Prontor mount camera. What camera is this lens made for?

Apparat und Kamerabau. AKA rangefinders. Akarelle, Akarette, and some Arette cameras. The Arette is a point and shoot, variants with the "w" indicating interchangeable use the same breechlock mount.

First a landscape. A bit of vignetting. (as I said the lens is really tiny, so this would not be unexpected. This at f8. Also just a little fall off in in resolution toward the corners.

Now a couple shots in the yard.

One of the cats (way too many!) toys.

A black and white version. Art I created from random bits of driftwood.

Some local wildlife. Western bumblebee was sitting quietly and just as I snapped the shutter he had started moving toward me. Missed focus by a smidge but the halo of hairs shows how sharp this lens can be as macro.

Daffy's a bloomin! Spring WILL come. (OK I know its already here, but we have had freezing nights for the las couple of days.

More of my artwork. (welded trellis)

Re: PP. Some minor tweaks to contrast and brightness. Note, also that this was without a lens hood which would probably benefit the images. I am assuming it is a single coated lens based on its vintage.

All in all for a 70ish year old vintage lens that is really really tiny for its focal length I would give this lens very high marks

The lens has a neat pop-up in near field. Together with jucy colours that gives it a very positive impression.
