Interesting shot.

I am wondering how long it takes to clear those marble stone from the hill/mountain and what the place be utilised once all the marble has gone.

I like these very much. Where is the quarry?

f you want more inspiration for your next visit there, check out these by the wonderful Edward Burtynsky:

thank you much for attention and so kind commenting!

For tomzcafe......these are fascinating (from the sea they appear as glaciers, and for trekking and climbing they are interesting mountains), but also very sad. With modern techniques/diggers, the rythm of extraction is very fast......a disaster, no doubt.

For I9magen: north of Tuscany, Alpi apuane, Seravezza-Levigliani-avoid the Cipollaio tunnel and go on left. 1 km and leave auto, about 30-40 minutes walk (ever on the left!) . Only on sunday!!!
