Some quick shots taken in and around my house
These were all at f2.5 or at f2.8 (??it has an intermediate f-stop between wide open and F4) on a6000
Basic PP, I didn't remove the apparent CA at these F-stops.
Note: this copy has some coating damage on the front lens, I didn't use a hood.

Nice shots !Karen. Good lens the CT105 IMO, a nice handling compact portrait lens with th e right sort of character for that sort of photography. But I wouldn't call it exceptional, I can say I have found it to be in the same ball park as its good 135mm tamron contemporaries. For pure IQ I wouldn't presume to match it against a SP 90mm 52B.
I wonder how it compares to eg a 105mm tak?

I tend to agree with you that it's not exceptional but it gets the job done!

I have a bunch of 100/105's. I prefer this FL to the 135mm lenses. I mainly use the nikkor and the minolta.

i do have a weak spot for those old Tamron lenses, their design and build quality is a joy, even when not shooting with them! Wink

nice shots!
