I have tried without success to locate this information on the net.

If you are familiar with the Tamron PE mount, can you tell me please is that a threaded mount equivalent to m42 . . or is it some style of bayonet mount?

Thanks, calvin83. No, that's not it. Mount is clearly stated to be "PE".

I have been searching, but can locate nothing within a Tamron context. One of my own threads here, from back in 2014, suggests this might be m42. But that thread was within a YS context, not Tamron. I do not know what Tamron means by "PE". We are talking about late 1960's here. The passage of time has clouded this matter somewhat.

Any photos?

The early Tamron lens use T mount with M37 x 0.75 mm thread up and change to M42 x 0.75 mm in the early 60s.

Yes, but only one and it is not good . . at least it is not good enough for me to be able to identify the nature of the mount. Here is the photo:

This is a "buy lens get adapter" situation for me. I already own two of those lenses and I do not need a third. Seller is saying mount is "PE", whatever that means. All I care about is whether it is threaded or not. Because if it is threaded then it almost surely is m42. I know what m42 is. I do not know what "PE" is as related to Tamron ca. 1970.

That certainly looks like the Petri breechlock mount Calvin linked to.

By Jove, I believe you could be right! I did not see it before, and I'm still not certain, but I believe you could be right. I hope calvin83 posts again.

Still do not understand referring to this as "PE", unless someone thinks that is shorthand for Petri?

Thank you, calvin83. You were correct all along but I did not see it. The seller calling that a "PE" mount is very confusing because there actually IS such a thing as a PE mount . . and it's not Petri!!!!!!!
