Had a chance to try my "new" Nikon 35mm f/2 AIS.

Shot handheld, at full aperture, 1/60, ISO 640, Nikon D700.



Detail:


First impressions: very sharp even wide open, very nice bokeh, some noticeable vignetting at big apertures.

Pretty good result I think.
More samples would help.
I just got one of the older version, maybe from 1972, AI-ed later.
These are remarkably cheap for what they are.
I see quite a few bargains on eBay sold listings.
I shot a few rolls on a Nikon F and a Nikkormat, lets see what they look like.

Here are a few more samples, not processed (except RAW>JPG conversion). All shot wide open except the church interior (f/2.8 ), WB set to Auto.
