Adapt-A-Matic m42 adapter pickup

Snagged this great Adapt-A-Matic m42 adapter for south of US$15. Am pretty happy:



Seldom see these today at affordable price. This adapter happens to come with a (decent appearing) lens and case. But purchase was strictly in order to obtain the sweet genuine Tamron adapter.




I do not know the cost of these adapters when they were current issue and new, circa 1970. But they had to sell for several dollars each? Thus, adjusted for inflation, I did pretty well. Using an on-line inflation calculator, it takes US$6.13 to buy today what US$1 would have bought in 1970.

Of course in 1970 you could walk into any camera store and buy one of these adapters straightaway. It's not that easy now!
