I recently got a rollei HFT planar 1.4/50 in QBM mount.
I have a Canon 70D and wanted to adapt the lens to it.
Can anyone point me in the direction of an adapter that would work well, with infinity and proper mounting and pin pressing?
It would be so helpful. Thanks in advance! |

In general for those and similar questions - I prefer KIPON made adapters and have had no problems with those adapters all over the years. A little bit more expensive but well made. Didn't checked whether such an adapter will be available for your specific problem.

Yeenon used to sell a QBM to EOS adapter(just like this one but allow infinity on most lenses Click here to see on Ebay). You may ask them from their ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/yeenon-china . _________________ https://www.instagram.com/_lens_fever/

It's a mount replacement, it fits better than the usual adapters and infinity isn't a problem. _________________ Regards

As far I know, this replacement is the ONLY solution for 1,4/50 mm QBM. Adapter onto QBM mount will not work with this lens to Canon EF.
There are for sure better knowing persons, but this information to avoid purchsing the wrong adpter type. _________________ T*homas

Thank you so much guys!
I am glad I asked.
I have only one QBM lens and it's a HFT planar 1.4/50 so it's worth the effort to do a conversion.
I will give that adapter a chance- thank you for the link!
Now I just have to figure out how to convert my rokkor 1.2/58 and find good adapter for my yashinon DS-M 1.2/55 and I am set.
Thanks again. |

Lens adapters for QBM to EF are all to thick for infinity focus.
I trimmed some to the proper registration, but there is very little metal left. It is so thin that it is definitely not going to be offered on the market: too difficult to produce and very fragile.
However, lenses infinity registration can be easily tweeked and the best option is to buy a cheap adapter and fine tune the registration on the lens itself. Lots of info everywhere on how to do that. Of course this works only if you don't use the lens on several cameras with different mounts, because now the registration will be off on proper adaptors! |
