I was wondering if this will work, has anyone tried it?

I have a shift lens but now speed booster. The shifting mechanism on my Nikkor PC is well within the mounting flange so I do not feel there would be a mechanical issue. There may be some falloff when shifted but that may not be an issue if you are using it on M4/3 camera. I get falloff when shifted even with no adapters.

What is the special effect of that combo? I have a Nikkor PC 28/3.5 and I may try

Just wondering how it performs when the optical axis of the adapter and the lens aren't aligned, if there is some sort of shadowing or strange aberrations. The idea is to keep the wideangle on the lens on a smaller sensor.

Unfortunately it works when the first generation Zhongyi Lens Turbo + MD 35/2.8 Shift + VRC lens combination for Sony NEX-5 camera is used.
Yes with maximum shift with the both directions, there is no mechanical vignetting nor strange optical magic happened, of course its sharpness weren't tested.
Sorry I do not have ALPA mount shift lens, so could not test with SpeedBooster.

But with SR->E tilt adapter and the same shift lens together, there was also no mechanical vignetting with maximum tilt (upto 8 degree) and
maximum shift to up/down and left/right shiftings for your disappointment.

So no dramatic thing happened.

Thx, I guess that's a postive answer Wink
