I took delivery of a mint condition porst 55mm f1.2 today in the old fuji x mount. Luckily it came with an adapter for x to e mount so was wondering if there's any other decent fuji lenses I should look out for?

Yes there are, the 28/1.9 is wonderful, but somewhat rare, I haven't looked into the slower 28, the 55/3.5 macro is good, and the 100/2.8, which I'm still on the hunt for has a very good reputation, the 135's seem to be as good as most other good 135'.
I haven't looked into any of the zooms as I much prefer primes, I tried the 19mm prime, but my copy was not good at all, I had to return it.
I bought the 50/1.6 which is somewhat cheaply made, the optics are good, but the minimum focus distance is quite long, so I modified the focus stop to decrease the MFD which will make the lens far more useful, the 55/1.6 is similar, but better made, and much less common.
I haven't seen much from the 24 to know if it's worth getting, same goes with the rest of the lineup.

every lens list I've seen seem to be missing lenses, anyone come across a complete list?

Porst 55 1.2 is from Cosina not Fuji, Porst 50 1.2 is from Fuji, so pick up one 50 1.2 if you have the chance and throw out the 55 1.2. Wink

You are absolutely right. I've overlooked that.
However, the original Fuji/Porst 50 mm lens is a little bit more expensive. Wink

I know about Porst/Cosina it was just that I now had an X to E mount adapter that I could utilise with other x mount lenses Smile

The ones I think are special are 28/1.9, 50/1.2, 100/2.8 and 135/2.5

Fujis decision to sell this as a »kit lens« to typical entry level buyers seems funny in retrospect. In short: Maybe the worst performing standard lens I have ever tried. But there´s the challenge.


but......if you like bubble bokeh, this lens can deliver it, and it's so cheap people are virtually giving them away.

Is there a decent adapter for fuji x-series cameras for these lenses? I only found 1 on the bay but have 'lost' it now....

I couldn't buy when I had lenses approx 1-2 yrs before, so .. choices are really limited and not always available for sure.

I'm using this adapter on my A7r:(same adapter that caledonia84 posted)

It works great, it uses an actual spring to keep pressure on the lens mount.

28/F1.9 sometimes produces a very special and fantastic bokeh, I like it also.

I would also put the 135/3.5 on this list. It's small, sharp and has the EBC coating..

Here is a page of a French Fujinon lens brochure from 1980 showing all the lenses available at the time.

This thread made me make an impuls buy. I found a X-Fujinon 28/1.9 (thanks, you know who you are) which I decided to try out. I have far too many 28mm lenses but this one is said to be nice. And it's always nice to have rare lenses.

This lens was almost unheard of a few years ago and now at least four members has one. I hope that is a good sign.

Congrats, I doubt you'll be disappointed, I decided I had to have one after seeing the Fuji 28/1.9 thread here, I fell in love with the rendering, the transition from in-focus to OOF is just wonderful.
I really must upload some more shots, I've become too lazy... Rolling Eyes
Posted far too often, but illustrates my point from above.
