The Tamron SP 60-300mm has a macro setting which goes to 1:1.5 at 60mm. This is actually closer than many ‘Macro’ lenses.
Performance figures for the lenses can be found at Adaptall-2.com.
These shots were done hand held with the lens on the Pentax K100D at 400asa.
Shot in RAW (Of course) conversion ARC.

Nice performer. Although I find the bokeh a little 'bland'.

I like the grass shot.

That first one's a very fine picture, btw.

I have one of these 60-300 Tamron SP's too, picked up cheap as a "fixer-upper".

It looks like the payoff for a successful repair is substantial.

Improved sharpness considering the f/8

Wide open would have been f3.8 which isn’t giving much DOF so I think it is pretty good. Not sure what my aperture was I think it was nearer f8 than f4!
I shot mine today and also shot some Lens Baby close ups at f2.8 and f2. I shall be sorting them out soon, keep an eye out for them!
