I recently purchased this lens and have been trying to obtain thread information via web searches, to no avail. Do any of you have this lens and if so what size screw mount is it? It appears to be smaller than M39. The diameter of the rear portion of the lens is about 22mm.

Ooh, that's an old one, I have a much later version that has only four aperture blades and a square shape aperture at all settings.

Enlarger threads varied a great deal, you'll have to measure it I think.

Mine is M26 and fits a c mount.

I was using my cell phone camera to show the lens, my apologies for the blurry nature of the images. Thank you for the information on your lens. I have a direction to go now in trying to find a mount for my camera.

I found my answer on the Schneider web site. My lens is M25.

Aah, so I was wrong, mine will be M25 too Smile The diameter and threads are the same as c-mount as it screws into a c-mount adapter.

The componar is their budget series. They do sell a M25/M39 adapter. Use it to mount on a bellows for close-up work. The componon-s is their so-called pro series, but the best is anything marked APO.

Thank you for the information. I love this web site and the sharing nature of its members. I have a couple adapters coming their way to me now and I look forward to using this little lens.

I've found a componar 50mm f4 with 9 numbers serial number silver plated (I guess brass), so this lens should be a triplet 16 blades no coatings , I cannot find any pictures taken with this lens, should I expect a very early model with low contrast ?
On this link, there's no mention to f3.5 componar 50mm existence and no pictures available from the first thread to see the lens

I don't think lenses (including enlarging lenses) have been made without coatings since the 1940s, so I think it's likely the lens elements are coated albeit poorly.

Is this a record for oldest resurrected thread, 12 years? Probably not, but must be close.

I do have a trioplan from folding balda 20's or 30's with poor coatings, but this componar lens got my attention for being a triplet and lots of blades , probably being an early batch with 9 numbers for the serial number , and to be honest, I couldn't find pictures taken with this lens
