I got my Ee-S focusing screen now and it is a real breeze focusing with my 85mm now. Some of my first shots on my new-old DSLR.

If I remember correctly, the first is at f1.8, the second at f2 and the third is definitely at f4.

Hmm, hard to say anything about it, as it seems to be just random test shots. Last one is OK I guess.

I'm sure this lens is able to deliver much more than just that.

Sorry, but nothing catchy in it for me... Crying or Very sad

I'm getting better with my EE-S Focusing Screen, so I thought, why not update this thread with some new pictures! I hope, that I remembered the apertures correctly...

For some reason, the images lack color in thumbnail view. Click for the larger view and correct colors.

Hi Attila!

Sure I can!

The Serial number states that the lens was made between 1964 and 1966. It's a Nikkor-H Nippon Kogaku.

If been using it for about 5 years. I got it super cheap in a not very well described bundle on ebay and one of the former owners had filed down the aperture ring to fit modern Nikon bodies as the lens is originally a non-Ai design.

Here are some pictures.

Yes. It harmonises beautifully with the great skin tones of the EOS 5D!
