I don't think there is any such thing as an uncoated M42 lens. The M42 mount was introduced in 1948/9 with the Zeiss Ikon Contax S and simultaneously the Praktiflex mount changed from M40 to M42 to match. The first lenses were by Carl Zeiss Jena, which had been a pioneer in lens coating before WWII, and the Contax S was the most expensive 35mm camera in the world when it was first launched - not a likely combination of circumstances for finding uncoated lenses. It is possible that some aftermarket third party may have made an uncoated lens in that mount in the early years, but I've never heard of it. _________________ I don't know what I want to be when I grow up |
