There is something special about this lens, I really don't use it often enough. It was getting dark outside and it was raining. NEX-7 RAW, ISO 200, on tripod, f2.8 mostly, post processing in Aperture (maybe a bit too much). Images 1 and 3 cropped. Click twice on images for max resolution.

I like #10, 12, and 13 quite a bit. The lens seems like a great performer! would like to see it @f2 just for kicks and giggles ;P

Haha - I was just about to write that.
Beautiful rendering from this lens - and very sharp.
Thanks for sharing

Yes it is a great performer and sharp wide open, nice creamy bokeh. It also gets to 1:4 magnification and remains sharp thanks to the floating elements. Beautiful colours, great micro-contrast stepped down.

The focus field is somewhat curved which gives an interesting falloff effect and at distance it gives a better depth effect than most telephoto lenses, but also makes it tricky to focus at wide apertures.
It also does not like high contrast situations or side lighting, a bit prone to CA and veiling flare.
But other than that, really great lens. I found it a bit front heavy on the A7 but I think it would work really well on the A7II (so regret selling, as usual..)

I've briefly compared it with the little brother OM 100/2.8. It is a little sharper in the center and much sharper in the corners and the bokeh is quite a bit nicer. It is also better built.

Very nice shots everyone. Looks like a rather elite lens to me.

Lovely photos. I have a nice copy and its tough to choose between it and the topcon re 100mm 2.8. hmmm might be time for a comparison test.

One of the greatest 2.0 lenses Smile Oly are great at this. 85 2.0, 90 2.0 and 100 2.0 are amazing lenses!

2.0/100 are very useful parameters. And if the lens is as good as that Oly, even the better!
