nice test. Not familiar with the smena tho. It looks better in nearly all of thes comparisons IMHO.

Smena T43 40/4 is a great optical lens, especially in the macro.
Several macro shooting with the EOS 300D and smiena 40/4 done a year ago - all straight from the camera without PP:
