A great lens and you have some very nice results here.
Can't wait to see how the cleaning of the front element will affect the images.
Well done

good samles taken with a great lens!
to remove the front element you will have to remove it's name ring using a friction tool, if you don't have any there are many things that can be used, e.g. kitchen sink stopper or a roll of insolation tape _________________ my photos on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/collections |

thanks kuuan, i have a couple different length roles of tape just for this purpose.
Have only had a 200 f4 tak apart before and it's naturally very different.
Don't think the image quality will differ much oldhand (and why would it need to it's wonderful) after removal as the fungus is minimal and only on the outer edge but i will enjoy trying as it is nice one to use thankyou for this one. |

Very nice! I have this same lens, but it is a recent acquisition and I don't believe I've used it yet with my NEX. It's currently residing peacefully on my Sp F. Guess I need to exercise it some. Especially to see if I can reproduce the bokeh you've shown. _________________ Michael

That first shot is spectacular. How much PP for the contrast in light and dark? Really enjoy the bokeh rendered, maybe I need to try one of these "slower" takumars than getting multiple 1.4's which seems redundent. Thanks for sharing. |
