Contax Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50/1.7 and 5D Mark III Mirror ?

I know that the Rollei Planar does not mix well with the 5D because of the mirror hitting the lens. So if i get a Contax 50/1.7 will the mirror of my 5D MIII also hit the back of that lens ? thanks

It should not, but also depends on the CY mount type.

I have a 135mm CY mount that has a long/deep aperture-lever-protective metal sticking out. This lens hits the mirror unless I change the mount to a more regular type. Also several other CY lenses that hit the mirror. Non of planar 50mm hit the mirror. I have 50/1.4 mm/ae and 50/1.7 mm.

I dont have any clearance issues with 5DII or 5DIII with Contax 1.7. Please see the following link:

Both 1.4 and 1.7 work fine with 5D3.
