They look excellent. I have the 100mm version of this lens, bought it new with my Canon T90 back in the 80's

This was taken with my Canon EOS-M

100mm and 200mm macro lenses are different. 200mm goes to 1:1 magnification on it's own, 100mm goes to 1:2 , it need matching macro tube to go 1:1 , as does 50mm macro

I have the 50mm tube for mine, which enables me to use it as a macro, or a standard 100mm lens.

there will be plenty shots with this lens, especially now that my usual macro hunting grounds, local botanical garden is finally open after the winter

Looks like a nice, sharp lens. A bit of longitudinal CA in the shot of the white flower, but it's not bad. I expect the extra working distance and narrow angle of view of the 200mm is nice to have.

Very nice shots! I have the 100mm FD macro and a 55mm f/3.5 Micro Nikkor, and the Vivitar 135mm f/2.8 CF, but no 200mm macros yet. It's up there close to the top of my want list -- just wish they all weren't so danged expensive.

And while I can get down to 1:1 with my 100mm and tube, the 200mm has a much better offset from the subject than the 100 does, which makes for more interesting shots.very often
