http://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/ramir73. Hes got adapters for Mamiya press lenses to Eos and Pentax pk. Others as well i think. He's making an adapter for the Nikon. I don't know the guy but the kit looks good. hes changing the Nikon adapter he had because it needs 0.1mm of the flange i think. What do people think. Is this worth doing?

I bought an adaptor from him to use Braun lenses on my Leica but it wouldn't screw all the way onto the body. I complained to him about it and got no reply. After sending several emails I eventually modified it by filing a couple of millimetres of thread. I knew I could do this which is why I didn't open a case on ebay.

The adaptor is well made but is massive and is much thicker than it needs to be blocking half the viewfinder. A friend tells me he will turn it down on a lathe.

I wouldn't buy from him again at any cost, preferring to make my own from now on.

I bought the Helios-40 66-67mm step up ring a while ago, and it works nicely Wink

The things are well made and accurate, but in my case not fit for purpose. I can only assume the adaptor was made and tested on a Russian camera - not a Leica - or made according to printed spec.

Over the last couple of years I bought a Soligor (Kalimar) 66 -> EOS, Argus C3 -> Sony E-mount and a Kodak Bantam -> Sony E-mount adapter from him. The adapters are a little rough. I found the threads to be not finely chased. But they all work as advertised, and the costs are reasonable. Shipping speed (within the US) and packing are excellent. I was satisfied!

Best,

Paul

Interesting stuff. The guy's got a lot of niche-market items, doesn't he? I haven't found anything I need yet, but the next time I'm needing some sort of oddball adapter, I know where to look.

This is the guy that was making the Miranda bayonet to M4\3 adapters.
I bought one from him. I tested it, and found that only certain lenses would fit do to changes in the Miranda bayonet over the years.
I told him about this, and that I was happy with the adapter . He asked me for measurements from the lenses it wouldnt fit .
So when the new run of adapters came out he sent me one for free. Worked great on all year Miranda bayonet lenses.

So, yes I would buy from him again.
