Finally, a dream came true! I am now the proud owner of a Minolta 1.2/58!
I got it thursday evening, unfortunately i had to work, so not much time to give it serious attention, but i could not resist to shoot around a bit with it.
First thing i wanted to know when i got this : what's it like wide open? So, all shots are at f/1.2, taken with Sony A3000 in JPG mode, straight from the cam, zero PP.
I am impressed! And not only by it's size, weight and built quality!

It is indeed a very solidly-built lens. I love the sharpness and bokeh from this lens. The biggest problem I find with mine is accurately focusing it on a DSLR. I hope to eventually buy a mirroless camera, so we'll see how it works on that. |

Some more samples, from f/2.8 and upwards. All unedited JPGs from the A3000, it is an incredible piece of glass!
