Canon bellows on Nikon body?

I have a Soligor bellows for Canon FD that I'd like to use on my Nikon bodies. Is that possible with an adaptor? I understand should it work there's still full manual and exposure a bit dodgy but that's where a histogram would be handy. Well that and the whole shoot a million frames and pick out the good ones digital experimentation thing.

Thanks.

except there aren't any FD to Nikon adapters...otherwise no problem.

Sure there are. With removable glass for infinity. Not interested in using it for that but it's easy to remove.

The price of the adaptor is high. Perhaps get an M42 bellows and a couple of adaptors. It'll probably cost less in total than this.

Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed Well, then, that's what's needed to attach bellows to camera. Only caveat is any scales on the macro unit itself will be off a little.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. The adapter would prevent infinity focus, but that's not what you're after with bellows anyway.

I use the old Canon Bellows FL, on my Nikon cameras because I got it for a steal, it's a completely solid rig, and I like that, unlike my Nikon PB-5, the tripod mount is independently adjustable, along the bottom rail. But I had to purchase adapters for both ends(Nikon F to Canon FD and a Canon FD to Nikon F (with no glass)), since I am using Nikon-mount lenses and a Nikon camera. Glancing online, I see adapters in the range of $15-20 USD. To me, that's not a lot to spend for a quality bellows. I don't know how swanky your bellows system is though.
