A while ago I saw a Diax to LTM adapter on a closed listing. I believe that adapter was for use with a bellows.
Last week I nearly fell off my chair when I saw another one for sale. I won it for 10e
Now the world of Diax lenses is at my feet, yahoo!
I have them all but my Xenagon could do with an upgrade to a better condition, anyway here is what is looks like :

Thats a great find and lucky too!
I suspect the original adapter was to use Diax lenses on an enlarger. It was common to use the taking lens on an enlarger in the 50's - possibly why 39mm became a standard thread. _________________ Hero in the 'messin-with-cameras-for-the-hell-of-it department'. Official. |

Readily available for m4/3 and also for Sony E NEX, but really expensive |

thanks all, yes I was very lucky , but as they say seek and you shall find
I can tell you about my solution before I found the Diax adapter as follows:
you need 55-52 step down plus 52 - m42 m-m reverse ring as shown
you need to heat up the 55-52 with a hair dryer to make it expand to get past alu disc on Diax mount (use gloves), this grips the disc so no stud required and screw it quickly before it cools, then attach reverse ring as normal, then hey presto you have m42 mount, so tubes etc from there, good luck

I just got the adapter from ebay (link from guardian).
100usd is not even cheap, but sadly the build quality is really cheap.
The adapter thread is made of aluminium, so it is relatively weak.
It fits my 2 of 3 lenses: 35mm and 45mm fit firmly, but 90mm does not fit at all, while all 3 fit perfectly on the diax body.
90mm is a heavy lens. This adapter won't keep it in place.
I think I keep the adapter anyway, until I got a replacement.
John's diax-ltm adapter look much better than my bought ebay item.
Please let me know if there is one of this type available again.
For now, I will try John's approach with home made adapter for my 90mm.
Thank you John, and Guardian.
Test photos will come... |

Make sure you get version of 55-52 step down where the 52mm thread goes straight through front to back, others are not good. _________________ Rectilux 3FF Series single focus anamorphic attachments
