Hi i have just got a canon 100D/SL1 for my travel cam to replace my sony nex which means i cant mount my minolta lenses on it...i am still keeping the nex but the lens i am going to miss on the canon is my Rokkor 50-135 F3.5...i have a Zeiss and a Kiron 35-135 f3.5-4.5 but they don't match the Rokkor for sharpness and i think they may be Minolta mount anyway i would consider looking for say a 70-150 .. i have a vivitar/kiron f3.8 1 touch and the vivitar 2 touch but nether are as sharp as the Rokkor
So can anyone recommend a lens to replace the rokkor in a mount that will adapted to canon eos
Thanks dave

Hi, I can recommend the Canon FD 50-135mm, hard to find and slightly weighty at 650g, but a lovely piece of glass which benefits from the ssc coating, less flare and ghosting. Liked mine so much I had it converted to EF mount!

I have a Nikkor 50-135 f3.5 AIs constant aperture that is wonderful. I had a chip installed for my digitals and F5 so I can use the matrix meter and program mode.

I just received MD rokkor 75-150 and I must say I'm very impressed with IQ... it's very sharp even wide open at all distances from 1.2m to infinity... but unfortunately I don't know if it's adaptable
I can recommend Tamron SP 28-135/4-4.5... used it on nikon D300, excellent lens with very good macro mode

I will have a look for the nikkor as i think nikon adops to Canon ef ok .. unforchantly the Canon FD will only adapt to Canon eos with an optic in the adapter to get infinity focus as does the minolta lenses ..the optec degrades IQ ..i think the FD 50-135 can have the mount changed but an expensive operation
will keep n eye out for the tammy as well ..the minolta 70-150 i had been keeping my eye out for one for my sony nex but they not turn up very often.. i did miss a cheap 1 when i forgot to bid Sad
