This is high quality zoom, with separate macro ring going to 1:2.7 ratio. Mine is Unitor branded. Manufacturer is most probably Kobori / Tefnon. I have it in PK mount thus i tried it on good old K10D. Loved it. I caught myself having focusing adjusted to infinity and playing with macro ring to catch focus. This really adds to the usefulness and fun factor of the lens. Macro is also great. Sharp from wide-open. No apparent CA (check last photo against sun). Resize only.

Do you have a picture of the lens itself ?
About sharpness, it doesn't clearly appear in the very first shots.
Maybe a loss during upload ? _________________ Olivier - Moderator

You'll find many branded as Soligor. Here for instance: http://www.flickr.com/photos/loeffel_1/6189275507/
What can i say: I guess resize algorithm did not emphasize edges enough. It suits me though. _________________ ---------------------------------

The Vivitar S1 28-90 F2.8-3.5 is very good, so good I've got two of them The Soligor ? I don't know. The best Soligors were the 'CD' range, and sold in competition to Vivitar's Series 1 lenses, my guess would be - go for the Vivitar. _________________ LENSES & CAMERAS FOR SALE.....

it is really different
viv s1 28/90 is of higher quality optically and mecanically
but
35/70 2.5 (mine was soligor) is very small / very handy / high aperture but optically good enough (not more) and mecanically not so good (mine in om mount lost the mount button !)
The Soligor 35/70 2.5/3.5 was sold as C/D or non C/D (depending on finish) _________________ OM USER .. I KEEP/USE:
