It's not a particularly great image, but I shot this at 1/250sec shutter speed
which means he's beating his little wings faster than 250 times per second,
isn't he.

Thanks, Luis! Smile I only have a couple of bee pics, and this is the only one
that shows wing movement, which is why I held on to it.

I like it Bill. Did you focus on the flower before it landed?

nice shot Bill!
you should try to increase gradually shutter speed to find out the rate of bee wings Very Happy

@Ron, yup, that's what happened, he flew into the frame while I was
focusing on the clover! Laughing

Poilu, great idea, next time! Wink

Lovely shot, Bill.

Don't you love those little creatures? Especially taking them using MF lenses. Quite a challenge.
I have done a few times sitting in front of flowers waiting for the bees. Shot keeper rate is less then 5% Crying or Very sad but very rewarding.

Here is a photo of frozen bee wings. Shutter speed 1:2000 Shocked
Taken using Biotar 2/58.

Esrods, thanks for your comments and that is a great shot! And with the
original lens, not my copy, and wow, 1/2000 to still the wings! Amazing!

Thanks for sharing this photo. Smile
