Musashino 40cm f5.6 anyone?

I stumbled on an opportunity for one of these. First time to see one. Does anyone know that lens, and the very strange mount? Thanks guys.

Thank you Caspert. Any more infos ? Performance ? Probably like most 400s of the time... Doesn't look easy to adapt either...

From my (limited) experience with lenses for 6x4.5, 6x6 and 6x9 cameras fom the 1960s/1970s, I would guess that the lens you were linking might be quite a bit better than the usual "Wundertüte" 400mm lens from that time frame. We know that some "simple" 400mm lenses such as the latest edition of the Novoflex T-Noflexar 5.6/400 do have an excellent color correction, even though being a simple triplet (much less CAs than the Canon nFD 2.8/400mm L!!).

Yep. That might be a problem, but in combination with a helicoid available online i should be possible though.
