Hi!

Since October, I'm the owner of Samyang 85/1.4 lens.

Let me show you some shots I've made with this piece of glass:

I was thinking the same thing about the colour cast. It works though well though. Especially in first. Very nice.

Nice vintage feel to these images and I like them. I do have a problem with the last one though as it is too purple for my taste (great composition though). Purely subjective, someone else might think that purple is golden...

Yeah, it seems to be it's due to the open aperture. This wasn't corrected in post processing.

Great series! Maybe you should get rid of the CA if you're shooting in RAW, in some photos they're quite distracting. Overall, I really like the way you treated the photos Very Happy

I have this lens under the name Polar, had a bad time with it due to a misaligned blade, but finally I can fix this lens and it works like charm. I found out that the build inside Samyang lenses are quite cheap and the joints on the aperture blades can be broken easily so it's better to avoid any sudden force to this lens, or the blades will go off first! Otherwise this lens is a real keeper, especially for the price.

How do you see these CAs? In what size of the photo do you observe them?
I do not see anything special.

I can see the cyan edge of the snow on the fence, it's on the left side of the photo, also some CA can be seen on the snow on the trees. I don't even need to zoom it in to see.
The second photo of your series also showed the same CA on the edge of the snow. Removing them is quite easily if you're using Lightroom or PTS with Raw Editor.

Got this lens a couple of months and I absolutely love it.

Some samples, all wide-open:

Cheers.
