Hi,

I got this beauty converted to pentax. Now I need to get it back to C/Y mount. Can I use a cheaper lens, perhaps DSB and just replace the base?

Sell it to Pentax user and buy unadapted.

If you know for certain the lens hasn't been machined or re drilled then a retro conversion would be OK. But if it has been machined and modified, do as Pancolart suggests and just sell it and buy another.
