had my father, brother and sister in-law over the other day for dinner and my father bought over his pups... (i say pups but one is about 11yo now)

taken with asahi 50mm f1.4 @ f2 on a d40 with a sigma ef500dg super flash.

nice cute doggies ving.
as you have a powerful flash, use it indirect on the ceiling, you will get much better results

in the second one i actuall bounce the flash off the lounge cover behind the dog. what i really need is a diffuser Smile

Very cute and nicely composed. I agree a diffuser would help a bit though.

The poses you captured are treasures! VERY good! I don't know much about flash, but it looks like they could use MORE light, so I'm guessing a more powerful burst that is bounced like you guys have suggested, might really make this sing. Cool
