I purchased this lens a couple of days ago for $25. When I tried it I saw that the images were glowing very much.
It turned out the middle element was flipped over. Now it is much better although at wide open it still glows perhaps due
to damaged coatings on the rear lens or perhaps that is normal for this lens?
Here is the lens and some photos.

This Kaleinar should be pretty sharp even wide open. Maybe another lens is out of alignment or there is some decentering issue.

The coating is probably pretty much wrecked. Use UV lamp to determine the holes.

Thank you for the information.
Actually it is also focusing a good amount past infinity.

There's obviously something wrong.

I think you are correct.
However, I can still use it stopped down and I think it is a nice lens.
Perhaps I can use the glowing quality for a special look.
