OK lens. Visible darkening in the corners and some CA but overall quite fine lens.

EOS 1Ds mkII, 12mm.

The vignetting and softness in the corners seems to be extreme with your copy. Shocked

I do have a Sigma 12-24 for Pentax and a Sigma 12-24 for Nikon - and neither one shows such a corner deterioration.
The Pentax version was tested on film and the Nikon version on my Df.

I must say that my lenses are much better than the result you show us here. Confused

Which version do you have? There are at least three different ones.

Shot taken last Sunday at the Christmas market.

Nikon Df, Sigma 12-24, f/4.5, 12mm (no in-cam correction applied)

Yes it's quite clear in FF and outdoor. But I mainly use this lens inside where it's quite good. This is the first version of the lens.
I see similar darkening in Canon 24-105L too when I use it at 24mm.

Here is some random sample inside. No correction made on this one. Of course I could fix the vigneting in PP which is visible in these kind of indoor shots also.

Another sample outdoor some day ago.

To be honest, I think there is something wrong with your lens, I'm afraid. Sad

The second version (I have for Nikon) is better than the first version (I have for Pentax), but it shouldn't be vignetting as much as your copy does. Sorry.

No need to be sorry Very Happy

It's also good to know that it shouldn't be vignetting so much. If I use it as 14mm, there is no darkening or if I stop down it to F8 at 12mm.

I found one other sample. F8 12mm. No correction.

Here is the same picture but lens correction on+vignetting corection. Not clearly visible but it corrects the darkening issue quite well. Have to try out outside later on!
