Hi everybody,
I adapted this lens today on my A7.
Bit of history...
Zenitcamera call it "Tair-2" as it's the predecessor of Tair-3. First models of FS-2 were made in GOZ (Leningrad) factory in 1937. During Leningrad battle, KMZ started to produce it, from 1943 to 1945.
Here is a KMZ model.
It consisted of a FS-2 lens (at first was named GOI 30cm/4.5), a reflex box, a wood cross and a FED. Btw, thoses FED were KMZ made, since some ingeners from FED factory (which moved to Ural during the war) came to KMZ to help. Looks like they stayed there after the war to help KMZ to produce the Zorki camera...
Production of FS-2 was stopped after the war... but for some reason, KOMZ (Kazan) produced FS-2 in 1963 (only). Photohistory doesn't mention anything about KOMZ in 1963, Zenitcamera too... only Princelle affirme that this lens (kit?) was made in KOMZ in 1963 (only), admiting that he doesn't have more informations about it.
I sometime saw some FS-2 , but they were not like the old ones : In one block, without focus ring, and with strange metal finish. Here is an exemple : https://pp.vk.me/c622819/v622819486/4679/BbfAMZ6Wiqg.jpg (This one is from 1968...the owner says it was installed in Mig-21...I doubt about it, but why not...)
Btw, this FS-2 (approximatively) was also used by a character of a famous multik (soviet comics) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lshSWuDkDp4
So, my FS-2 is from KOMZ, 630026. I adapted it the hard way, but the lens didn't suffered at all, it's all reversible :
