Aperture lever on Minolta 17mm f4

The aperture pin on this lens is quite long and prevents it fitting into the Lens Turbo II.

Can anybody suggest a safe way of shortening the pin safely - without damaging the the lens ?

That lens just gets more and more expensive every time I see it. I wouldn't alter it.

Bought one very cheap (bad description on the bay), compared it to the Tokina 3.5/17, sold it at a very high price. Never regretted it, the Tokina was better Shocked

Well I could use it with a dumb adapter without problems, but then I don't get the full FOV on my NEX - which is the point of this lens. So I just need to trim the pin by a few mm so it will fit the Lens Turbo . Perhaps one of those little Dremmel cutters would work - I just worry that the vibration could shake it up a bit too much.

I believe the safest way to shorten the pin is previously removing the lens mount. Maybe the member ZoneV, who has experience with Minolta lenses, could help you:
