I couldn't find this lens in the 'Best of' category, so here are some examples from it (combined with the Canon 5D Mkll).

I adore this lens, as some of you may already know, and if anyone has the chance to buy one I strongly advise that you do so.
Yes, I am bias. I'm a registered Series 1 addict..... but for good reason. Wink

When you nail the focus with a Bokina, it stays nailed! Laughing

PentaxK-r and caledonia84, it's worth it Wink

The price has risen in the last few years, sadly, but it is possible to find a bargain priced example sometimes. I got very lucky with mine, mint condition lens with an adapter still in it's original wrapping for......£70 Shocked

What? I didn't start a thread on this lens? Shame.

Nice shots. I think you are enjoying some of my favorite lenses. I haven't done any meaningful macro with this lens, but have gotten some close-ups. I'll have to add some of my favorites here too.

Just to be clear, this is the tokina made "Bokina" vivitar 90mm 2.5 not the komine made 90mm 2.5 (which is also pretty good)....right?

Thanks, sting - excellent lens. Gary (SonicScot) is getting the best from it.

That lens truly deserves to be in the "best of lenses" category. It was my main macro lens for several years.

I'm late to the party, but SonicScot, Woodrim and Tedat, those are fantastic! So beautiful and the technical quality is excellent. That is a great lens -- not to mention the great photographers wielding it.

Couple of nice ones from yesterday morning -

ended up with an ordeal to get this lens working again - broke 2 days after I got it, repair cost was about as expensive as actually buying the lens in the first place even before shipping back and forth Sad ), but at least I now have a fanatically thoroughly cleaned and fully repaired copy of it.

A fantastic lens. Hard to pick between this and the Kiron 105 2.8. Some samples from my efforts yesterday.
