This is a Goyo lens branded Spiratone. Goyo is the seller's claim, but there is substantiation here:

This is a really spectacular lens, especially given the versatility imparted by its YS mount!!
Click here to see on Ebay
Is anyone actually fortunate enough to own one of these!!!? |

Very poor IQ until closed to f2.8 - CA, softness, halos, coma. Might appeal to some but to me, it's crap and you might as well use a 2.8/135.

Agreed, iangreenhalgh1. I acknowledge the YS mount is suggestive of Sigma, but the subject lens smells to me like Goyo, or Sun if you prefer depending on year of manufacture. I do not know year of manufacture for this lens.
Camerapedia lists Goyo, but I'm not certain that's authoritative. People too often run takeovers together, as for example when an obviously Konica lens is (in my view, wrongly and erroneously) given the Minolta appellation.
Anyway, I'm betting the lens is Goyo or Sun, rather than Sigma. |

Sun, Goyo never made SLR lenses, they make industrial and CCTV optics. The merger was long after this lens was made. _________________ I don't care who designed it, who made it or what country it comes from - I just enjoy using it! |
