This morning I was greeted with fast moving and LOUD vehicles, then my
house was being dive-bombed by a plane! Both are uncropped.

Yashica ML 28/2.8:

Viv 200/3.5:

Yeah, it was mad dash to install the Viv 200/3.5 on the cam, and bob955i
has nothing to worry about! LOL They are growing wheat instead of cotton across the road from me, and this is first time I've seen a crop duster up close.

I love panning! Years ago I discovered by chance how you can create distorted images by panning with a focal plane shutter. I've forgotten how to do it now but it would be worth experimenting. Do DSLR?s have focal plane slit shutters like film cameras?

I like the combination of detail and movement - I think if you'd panned much faster they'd have lost something.

You should use an AF lens, next time. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Laughing

No, just kidding. I like the shots. This kind of motion blur adds dynamics to the frame.

Thanks for your comments! Smile

In the first shot, I still had the Yashica ML 28/2.8 on the cam from the
day before, and took a test shot off my porch (while the plane was circling
round for another sweep) and the pickup truck had driven into the frame,
pure accident I caught him! Laughing

The pilot had to do some very steep climbs and dives because of the power lines.
I took some other shots that show this, I'll see if they are worth posting. The shot
I made trying to pan him (different kind of panning from
your comments, kidding!) was when he made a final sweep parallel to the
road that he missed in these climbs and dives. Pure luck I caught him at
all! Smile
